The Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club® grew out of the 1997 release of the Grammy-winning best-selling album Buena Vista Social Club, and its line-up continues to include a number of the original artists featured on the landmark recording and film. A sound like this, it tends to travel… Following a premiere run at Atlantic Theater Company in late 2023, the jukebox musical Buena Vista Social Club heads uptown to Broadway, providing some much-needed heat for the tail end of a cold New York winter. The Buena Vista Social Club ensemble brought together 20 veteran Cuban musicians from the ’50s in the late ’90s. Featuring a band of renowned musicians and a sensational cast, the show will open at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in March 2025.
