Toyota rav4 squeaking rear The rear suspension on rear differential has 2 issues. Turns out when the dealer replaced the right rear control arm under a recall, forgot to tighten down the nut that holds it on. Nothing helps. It also only happens at low speeds, because obviously I am not moving in reverse at a high rate of speed, haha. First the lubed the weather seal around the rear door and that eliminated the noise for couple days, then the noise came back. I popped the clip out, wiped down everything clean, and spread lightly some silicone grease on all contact points. Tap it hard and it would rattle. I took the spare out of the cover and it stopped. Various posts on the forum have suggested cleaning / lubricating the rubber sealing strip, moving or application of electrical tape to the stationary side of the latch and / or the striker plate. It has been doing this since the first month of ownership.
